About the Company :
IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance was incorporated on 4th December 2000 as a joint venture between the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-operative (IFFCO) and its associates and Tokio Marine and Nichido Fire Group which is also the largest listed insurance group in Japan. Now, the company has Pan India presence with 69 “Strategic Business Units’ (SBU’s) and a wide network of over 124 ‘Lateral Spread Centres’ (LSC’s) and 295 Bima Kendras.
In July 2017, Tokio General Insurance has hiked its stake to 49% by acquiring additional shares in the company for Rs2,530 crore.
